“waking up” by Ann Ehringhaus

I had a dream in Krakow.
I was sharing acupressure points
with a Zen meditation group
as we travelled to Auschwitz.
They were the points of grief,
rather than use our muscles
to stop its flow.
Allowing grief is a big assignment,
especially in Poland, but
allow it we must if we are ever to
feel the pain so many endured.
Feeling the pain of others has a
name. Some call it compassion.
